About Me

Hello friends! My name is Errik, but feel free to call me Khi. I am a game designer with a strong primary concentration in UI/UX design and story/screen writing. Over the past 6 years, I have been honing my craft and putting my talents to great use on a considerable variety of game types as well as personal (and academic) projects. Adapability and an ever-growing passion for knowledge are some of my best qualities as a designer—I love learning as much as I love creating and I’m open to piloting a specific niche if a job calls for such a pivot! Overall, I hope that my assortment of generalist skills will be of use in not only my choice of concentration—that is, user interface design—but also in other fields where such proficiencies are in high demand.

Growing up and learning to discover myself, one question has always loomed over my mind: “What would it be like to have an outlet to express my imagination and create worlds that I and others can immerse themselves in as both a personal haven and an engaging experience?” And I found throughout my time in academics that the game design industry exists to answer this question in a multitude of ways. Ever since this discovery, I have dedicated my time to learning multiple principles within the sector and in doing so have unlocked my potential in the concentrations of user interface design and user interface art and hope to pursue a career within either of these roles. However, I would also like to try my hand as a level designer or a writer within the field of game design as I feel confident in my proficiencies within these areas.

Outside of my work, I love playing video games (of course!) as much as I do making them, but I also enjoy things such as coffee and tea, cooking (or rather, learning how to), tabletop RPGS and other board games, and especially hanging out with friends—as well as making new ones!
